Taylor

Taylor is a 3 year old shepherd mix, female.  She was abandoned at a local dog park and it took 3 days for one of our volunteers to catch her.  She gets along well with children and other dogs.  She has freckles on her front leg.  Taylor weighs approx. 55 pounds.   She has a sweet disposition and is very loving.

Krissie

Krissie is a one year old, female, terrier mix weighing under 30 pounds (26.8 lbs to be exact).  She gets along with other dogs and is currently figuring out what happened in her life to be abandoned at Pet Rescue.  She will settle in soon and realize she is in a safe place and that our volunteers will find her the loving home she deserves.  Better pictures to follow.

Traveler

My name is Traveler which comes from the fact that in my short life of about a year, I have been on the road a lot. My rescuer saved me from life on the streets, but not without a huge effort. I was so afraid that it took her weeks to catch me. Every time she got close, I sped off and no offense to her, but she was no match for my speed. So, anyway, I was lured into a trap of young kids who I felt safe with and they did finally catch me. I guess it is for my own good, as now I have a safe place to sleep which is out of the rain. I have been examined by the doctor and I am all healthy. I am about one year old and weigh about 40 lbs and I love to give kisses. I am great with kids and people and other dogs.  I am young and like to play and have exercise, but I am not hyper like some labs my age.

Cutie Pie

Cutie Pie is anything but cute at the moment.  She was rescued after being found under a patio chair in a Dade County neighborhood.  The police became involved and asked if Pet Rescue would take her.  Cutie Pie has sarcoptic mange and is being treated.  With all the obvious discomfort this little girl is going through she has a wonderful disposition and is very loving.  She loves her meals and especially likes the snacks the volunteers offer to her.  She is looking for a forever home to take care of her in the manner she has obviously never experienced.  Cutie is a Shih Tzu under 10 pounds and is approximately 5 years old.  One day she will be beautiful.  Send your applications to petrescuemiami@aol.com

Update:  Cutie is recovering.  Her mange is gone and she is on antibiotics for her skin condition -- BUT she is getting her hair back!!!!

Gaby

Gaby was abandoned at the shelter.  She is an 18-month of lab/shar pei mix.  She is learning how to play ball and is finding out how much fun she can have playing. She has now discovered the pool and loves to stand in and get cool while playing with her new toy - a rubber duck.  She is adjusting to shelter life and enjoys her walks and play time with the volunteers.  Gaby is under 50 pounds and has a beautiful golden coat with very little shedding.

Chloe

Chloe is an 18 month old Boxer/bulldog mix, female, approximately 45 pounds.  She was abandoned at our shelter with puppies (all adopted).  She has a sweet disposition and loves to play with toys.  She carries them around and even sleeps with them on her bed.  She has settled in nicely at the shelter and walks well on a leash.  She knows basic commands.
